While working as an academic in the 1990s I was approached by a film maker, Dylan Howitt, who suggested we make a film based on my research into global environmental finance. He taught me to make films, and I taught him about the World Bank etc. We set up a video production company – Conscious Cinema – making social issue documentaries from 1999-2003.
Since then I’ve worked freelance as a film maker and consultant. I specialise in documenting complex public issues and giving voice to the voiceless using participatory video techniques.
Feedback on the Films:
“Complex ideas, made accessible to new audiences”
“Inspired me to start making films”
“Brilliant work. Thank you for being a lively enabler to those who can’t always find the right medium for their voices to be heard”
