Conservation Justice

Conservation is close to my heart. I am nature; my ancestors helped to form the conservation movement. My first documentary – Suits and Savages, 2000, with Dylan Howitt – explored the World Bank’s failing efforts to protect Bengal tigers in a context of race, power and the global economy.

Further short films on Justice in Conservation, Food Sovereignty and a ‘Five Years On’ follow up to Suits and Savages, also explore how people are separated from their natural world in the name of its protection by others.
